Hey, friends! Well… our sweet baby girl arrived about 3.5 weeks early, just as we had anticipated– but thank goodness she is healthy as can be, and we were able to bring her home with us right away! Some of you may or may not know, our second child, Caleb, was born prematurely at 4 weeks, but he was in the NICU for 7 days! Those days seemed as if they were the longest days of our lives, and having to explain to our (then) 4 year old that his baby brother could not yet come home each of those days was absolutely heartbreaking. But God is SO good, and we were ecstatic with each test she had passed in the hospital and that we were able to bring her home on discharge day! And believe it or not– she is our “biggest” baby at a whopping 6lbs 10oz!! She’s so tiny, and I can only imagine how big she would’ve actually been had I delivered full term!
Earlier in the week, we had a super-sweet and amazingly-talented local newborn photographer, Casey Dugue, take photos for us at her in-home studio– as you will see Caleb was not interested in having any pictures taken with him that day, haha! So, just big brother Jacob had a couple one-on-one photos with her 😉 But I’m thankful Casey was able to grab a family photo for us while we were there, too! Soooo… I’d like you all to meet the newest addition to our crazy little family, our sweet baby girl, Audrey Elle Knott, at just 4 days new ♡
